OCEAN IN A BOTTLE

Materials:

• 1 clear plastic 16 oz soda bottle with a cap
• Large bottle of baby oil or light cooking oil
• 1/2 Tbs. blue food coloring or powder
• tempura paint
• Water

Directions

1. Fill half the bottle with baby oil using the funnel.
2. Mix food coloring with water and fill bottle with water until full.
3. Screw cap tightly. Slowly tilt the Ocean in a Bottle to left and watch as the waves crash against the sides of the bottle.

If tempura paint is used, mix with oil in bowl (let set for 10 minutes) and pour into bottle. Don't pour sediment into bottle.
